Here is the latest update of 3ds Max ! The version 2020.1 focuses on improving workflow, providing modernized tools such as handling keyboard shortcuts and removable windows.
Enhance your workspace experience by extending your windows across different monitors. Take advantage of the multi-monitor setup and float up to three additional display panels across multiple monitors. Each window panel can be configured separately.
Easily customize, merge and view keyboard shortcuts with a new keyboard shortcut system and a new keyboard shortcut editor! The new keyboard shortcut tool replaces the Keyboard tab in the dialog box: customize the user interface, search for an action by keyword or by current keyboard shortcut assignment, clear current assignments and conflicts with user history. ‘cancellation, filter actions by current customization status and groups, migrate old keyboard shortcut files without missing updates to default values … user shortcut settings are saved separately from defaults in a settings folder dedicated and accessible user. The configuration selector makes it easy and quick to switch between sets of shortcut keys.
Based on user feedback from Update 2020, you will receive even more efficient and predictable modeling options. Depending on the weight, the type provides an absolute weight on an edge, thus changing the shape of the miter angles, scale spinner globally multiplies the weight values in the amount of the scale, the average weight of the folds between the connecting edges gives variable width across an extent of edges, depth weighting allows control over each edge, the Depth Type drop-down list contains the Fixed and By Weight options which hide the rotation modifiers and extract the depth values by channel edge mesh. Depth spreader has been added to Edit / Poly capable in the Edit Edges deployment under Fold and Tape in the edge panel.
The new double-click selection allows you to be efficient and faster when modeling.
