A special issue of Process-Special lists 3D Activation as a 3D printing service provider
In 2016 we gave an interview to Process Magazine, for which we even made it into the “Best of 2016” (we reported). Now we are all the happier to be able to report that in its current special edition (October 2018), Process-Special once again lists us as a 3D printing service provider.
Under the keyword “Strategy 4.0” you will find the chapter “Chemistry under pressure” in this issue. There, in the table on page 40, bottom left, you can find us at the top. The question asked in the headline “Who does what in terms of 3D printing?” is correctly answered in our there with: “More than 50 materials (including metal and PA plastic) and nine different printing processes”.
In the foreword of this special process issue, Anke Geipel-Kern, the editor-in-chief, emphasizes that Industry 4.0 is currently in the process of changing old certainties. At this point, Geipel-Kern cites a study by Wirtschaftswoche, according to which more than 75 million jobs could be lost by 2022. Machines and algorithms would therefore take over half of human work within the next 5 years. However, this is no reason to panic as long as companies do not fail to training to invest in their employees.
