Why do SolidWorks files only display bitmaps after upgrading to Enterprise PDM 2012 using an administrative installation image in Windows® Domain Service Group Policy Object?
The problem is probably related to eDrawings® which is not registered correctly. It therefore limits the Preview tab of Enterprise PDM which only displays a bitmap image of SolidWorks files. Likewise, the option “Show bitmap for SolidWorks files” is not available in View -> Options from Explorer. This issue occurs on 64-bit Windows operating systems and was reported to the development team under SPR 645157.
