Red Bean Interior Design
For interior designer Kristi Lee Robb, AutoCAD LT isn’t just a design tool—it’s a job creator.
After creating designs in AutoCAD LT at a Toronto-based interior design firm for 10 years, she moved back to her hometown of Bracebridge, Ontario. That’s where she met Amanda McLennan, owner and principal designer for Red Bean Interior Design. Amanda was looking to grow her business, and Kristi Lee knew what it would take. Previously, Amanda had relied solely on hand-drawn sketches. For their first kitchen project together, Kristi Lee would show what kind of difference her skills with AutoCAD LT could make.

Nature’s Designs
In the 16 years since Rose Remillard planted the seeds of her landscape design and consultation company—Nature’s Designs, based in Guerneville, California—her business has had to adapt to unforeseen challenges, both personal and professional. In October 2017, four fires—the Atlas, the Nuns, the Partrick, and the Tubbs—that ignited in Napa County and Sonoma County were the final push for her to dedicate herself exclusively to residential garden design and to do so using AutoCAD LT.
Whether it’s blocks for plants, using Google Earth to create a base plan, or ease-of-use with DWGs from architects, Rose relies on AutoCAD LT to bring her landscape designs to life. “AutoCAD LT gives me the flexibility to really put my own unique stamp and creativity on my plans,” she says. Looking ahead, she views AutoCAD LT as the driving force for moving her design business forward, including exploring the use of mobile phones or tablets with the AutoCAD mobile app.

Oak & Ash Woodcraft
From start to finish, Jason Parker both designs and constructs every project for his company Oak & Ash Woodcraft in Concord, North Carolina. And AutoCAD LT for Mac is his number one tool. The variety of projects Jason takes on ranges widely—from shelving units to desks, tables, and kitchen installations.
“I can start working in AutoCAD LT for Mac and maximize the design and the amount of space for the cabinets—and make it all fit literally within a sixteenth of an inch…and to do it on paper would be an absolute nightmare,” Jason says. “I’ve tried a handful of other programs over the years, and they all just don’t stack up to AutoCAD. Once you’ve driven a Cadillac, how could you go use something else?”
