Like with other CAD systems, AutoCAD also has constraints….
These constraints can be used to introduce design intent…
I like to use the tangent constraint…lets take a look…
I can delete the constraint as well
The constraints are really handy to control extactly how you want the figures to be oriented and maintain that orientation.
Another constraint called concentric….
I want the center of the circles to be the same….
Or I could lock the geometry…this forces the other object to move….
Or I could force two lines to be paralell…
There are other constraints like perpendicularity vertical or horizontal that are handy too.
Use these to your advantage!
