Friedrichsdorf, Germany – October 26, 2021 – Today Maxon announced the availability of Forger in all Maxon One subscriptions with the release of Forger 1.8, an update to the professional-level 3D digital sculpting app for the iPad. New licensing options include a free version that puts the sculpture within the reach of all iPad users, and a subscription version that can be purchased independently from the Apple App Store. Maxon One subscribers can simply log into their MyMaxon account to access Forger included in their subscription. This latest version also features a seamless workflow with Cinema 4D – objects can be imported into C4D to be animated, and design-stage 3D models can be moved between Cinema 4D and Forger to enable a transparent and iterative workflow.
Forger offers enjoyable and engaging first contact with the world of 3D sculpting without the intimidating complexity of desktop applications. Forger has an intuitive multi-touch interface, makes full use of Apple Pencil, and offers a comprehensive collection of brushes and sculpting tools. Powerful remeshing algorithms along with masking and layering capabilities make concept and production exploration sculpting on a mobile device a reality.
Forger frees professional 3D modelers and sculptors from their desks and gives them the artistic freedom to work on a digital sketchbook on the go. For casual users or new budding artists, the free version removes the barrier of commitment that comes with having to pay for a professional app and lets them take their first steps into the world of sculpture and modeling. 3d. When users are ready to remove the limit of three active files or use the extensive export possibilities, it is easy to subscribe on a monthly or annual basis.
Users of the previous version of Forger (now Forger Classic) are entitled to a free one-year subscription to the new Forger. This offer is exclusive to Forger Classic users. Note: Forger Classic owners can keep their current license – it will not expire, even if they take advantage of the one-year free offer.

Forger is included in the Maxon One subscription or a standalone subscription can be purchased independently. Forger can be downloaded immediately from the Apple App Store.
Forger’s integration with Cinema 4D requires Cinema 4D Release 25.015 or later.
For owners of a Maxon One subscription: Forger can be used simultaneously on the iPad while your other products are activated. Forger will work at the same time as your desktop applications.
