What is a detail line?
Detail lines are drawn in the view’s sketch plane. They can be used to detail a view with part of the model visible, such as in a wall section or callout. Or detail lines can be used in a drafting view to draft lines with no reference to the model.
How do you edit detail lines in Revit?
1. Click Manage tab Settings panel Object Styles.
2. In the Object Styles dialog, click the Model Objects, Annotation Objects, or Imported objects tab.
3. Click in the Line Weight, Line Color, or Line Pattern cell for the category you want to modify and make changes as necessary.

How do you label a callout in Revit?

A hidden line, also known as a hidden object line is a medium weight line, made of short dashes about 1/8” long with 1/16”gaps, to show edges, surfaces and corners which cannot be seen. Sometimes they are used to make a drawing easier to understand. Often they are omitted in an isometric view.
A drafter—in deciding whether a line in a view should be represented as hidden or as visible—relies on the fact that in third-angle projection the near side of the object is near the adjacent view, but in first-angle projection the near side of the object is remote from the adjacent view.
What are types of lines?
