As your teams cannot access their workstation, we have devised an online access solution. The SOLIDWORKS online license will allow everyone to work under identical conditions from home, remotely, while retaining all the features and facilities of SOLIDWORKS.
Under what conditions?
The online license is free, it does not generate any additional costs.
The SOLIDWORKS online license is available to all customers with version 2018 or later, regardless of their maintenance status. You must be connected to the internet to use the license online.
For who ?
Available to all SOLIDWORKS customers using single seat licensed products, the SOLIDWORKS Online License is intended for users who need to run their products on more than one machine and who do not have a SolidNetwork (SNL) license. .
To do what ?
With the online license, users have the flexibility to install and use SOLIDWORKS products on as many machines as they want, without having to activate or deactivate the machines each time. SOLIDWORKS customers can access all of the products to which they are entitled by simply logging in, via the Internet, using their SOLIDWORKS ID. An offline mode is also available for people on the move.
For which products?
The SOLIDWORKS online license is available for the following single-user license products: SOLIDWOKS CAD, Simulation, Flow, Plastic, CAM, Composer, Plastic, Electrical, PCB, MBS, Visualize. It is not available for SOLIDWORKS PDM products.
When your teams are working in a network and want to work locally, we offer them the license loan. These licenses are made available for a limited time and allow local installation for use without connecting to the server. For more information, we recommend this FAQ.
Under what conditions?
In the case of floating licenses, the SolidNetwork License Manager allows users to borrow a license while disconnected from the server.
License borrowing recovers a license locally for a maximum period of 30 days. The license is no longer present on the license server until the borrowing user returns the license.
For who ?
SOLIDWORKS License Borrowing is intended for users who have network licenses and want to work in local mode.
To do what ?
By borrowing a license, users have the flexibility to install and use SOLIDWORKS products on their machine locally.
For companies that have a VPN and provide secure access to their employees with a workstation at home, we ensure smooth use of SOLIDWORKS solutions in remote mode.
Under what conditions?
In the case of a landline and a VPN access to the company, it is possible to connect with a remote office and thus use SOLIDWORKS.
It is kept simple and does not require a license loan. The only requirement is to have VPN access installed and working.
