SOLIDWORKS Simulation helps simplify structural optimization through an objective-based design approach to parametrically alter a design to achieve defined structural objectives.
You specify the design goals at the start of the process for:
• be alerted by SOLIDWORKS software during the design process in case the objectives are not met
• use the targets as part of a design study in which SOLIDWORKS Simulation automatically modifies the limit dimensions of the model to optimize or minimize adherence to the design objective
Structural optimization uses different constraints to limit the scope of the optimization process, ensuring that each optimization in the design study meets the primary design objective, as well as the requirements of the supported design.
